Upcoming Rehearsal
The first rehearsal of 2012 is January 12th at 4:15. Please make note of the different schedule on Thursday, January 19th. We have a rehearsal at Pershing from 11:30-12:20 and a concert at 7pm at Pershing. There will be no 4:15 rehearsal that day, and students should report back to Pershing at 6:30pm.
String Seating Auditions

Concert Dates
- Thursday, December 8, 7pm @ Irving Middle School
- Thursday, January 19, 7pm @ Pershing Auditorium
- Thursday, April 12, 7pm @ Irving Middle School
The first rehearsal will take place at Irving on Sep. 15th from 4:15-5:15, immediately followed by a meeting for all JYO parents in the rehearsal room.
Rehearsals are 4:15-5:45 Thursdays at Irving Middle School in the Instrumental Rehearsal room on the 2nd floor
Rehearsal Dates:
Spring 2012
Jan. 12 (at Irving), Jan. 19 – 11:30-12:20 at Pershing Auditorium. (No rehearsal at 4:15. Concert at 7pm)
Jan. 26 – Full Rehearsal at regular time AND String Seating Auditions (Audition music will be posted by Dec. 21st. Please note, January auditions are for strings only.)
Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23, March 1, 8, 22, 29, April 5, 12 (4:15-5:15 only on April 12th. Report back at 6:30 for the concert)
JYO News
Dr. Karen Becker is conductor of the Junior Youth Orchestra again this year. Dr. Becker is Associate Professor of Cello at UNL and Principal Cellist of the Lincoln Symphony.
