I graduated with a major in Elementary Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2000. I taught a variety of grades in my 7 years in the classroom, from kindergarten to third, in both Lincoln and Olathe, KS. While in Kansas, I got my Masters degree in Reading from the University of Kansas. I became a mom and stayed at home with my children for a few years, then returned to teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Southeast Community College. In 2012, I came back to the elementary school and began training as a Reading Recovery teacher and started teaching at Prescott Elementary. In the fall of 2014, I am excited to begin teaching Reading Recovery at Kooser Elementary!
