Ms Schlemmer’s Rules  & Regulations

1. Be Responsible!

  • Attendance/ Truancy policy will be strictly enforced by the attendance office.  It is important to be in class for the entire period each and every day.  Regular attendance is necessary to learn and develop responsible behaviors.  The tardy pass will be required to enter class after the bell.  Planners are required to leave the class after the bell.
  • Assignments are to be handed in on the day they are due.  Make-up work will need to be turned in during the current unit.  Dates will be provided as to when make-up work will no longer be allowed.  It is the students’ responsibility to ensure current assignments.  Test will be made up on an individual basis.
  • Phone will be used on field trips and by permission only.  Please keep them in zip at all times in backpack.

Grades will follow the Southwest grading scale.  Classes will all be based on a point scale and convert to percents as follows:

  • 90 – 100 % = A
  • 80 – 89 % = B
  • 70 – 79 = C
  • 60 = 69 = D
  • 59 & below = F

2. Be Respectful!

  • When working with partners or in cooperative learning groups, talking quietly and respectfully is permitted.  Listening is essential when announcements are being made, a resource person is presenting or when studying, completed a task or taking tests.
  • During classroom discussions, all students are to be respectful of others opinions and comments.
  • Food and nuisance items are not to be brought into the classroom.  Water only is permitted on carpeted areas.  Headphones and cell phone will be allowed on an individual basis.
  • Dress will follow the Southwest guidelines
  • Please remain off the desks, cabinets and counter-tops.
  • Please keep your hands to yourself at all times.

3. Be Safe!

Term 2:

  • Block 1 – Plan
  • Block 2 – Preschool/School age
  • Block 3 – FCS-I
  • Block 4 – FCS-I

Term 3:

  • Block 1-Infants & Toddlers
  • Block 2 – Human Behavior
  • Block 3 – Plan
  • Block 4 – Foods & Wellness
