We have been working on our ability to cooperate AND learn. It’s called COOPERATIVE LEARNING. We are getting pretty good at it. We often do things like ‘Think, Pair, Share’ where we share ideas with a neighbor. This is great because EVERYONE is talking, not just the person the teacher calls on.

In these photos, students are sharing their writing leads with a partner. They had one minute to share, then the other partner had one minute to give stars and wishes. After both partners shared, one side of the line moved down one space… then they started the process again. This allowed them to share with four different friends and get meaningful feedback in a fairly short period of time. They had lots of fun doing it too!
