This is my 5th year at Lincoln Southwest. My schedule is similar to last year’s with 6 sections of Economic Perspectives, 4 sections of World of Business, and 2 sections of Business Law.
In addition to teaching I am also the adviser for our Future Business Leaders of America Chapter. This is my fifth year at the helm of our local chapter and I am looking forward to another successful year! Our tradition of sending students to the National Leadership Conference also extended it’s streak to 4 straight years as Elizabeth Peterson represented us in San Antonio in Business Math after taking 2nd Place at State! To find out more about FBLA check out the Southwest FBLA website (link to the left) or, if you are a student, stop by at one of our meetings. We meet on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month at 7:30am in room B200.
Outside of school I like spending my free time playing volleyball, watching TV, reading, or hanging out with friends. I also like spending time with my family, of which I am the oldest of four. My brother attends the University of Nebraska -Omaha while my youngest sister attends the University of Nebraska -Kearney. My other sister and her husband live in Omaha with their two beautiful daughters; and my parents still live in our family home in Hastings.
Wishing you all the best during this school year!
~H.
