It’s our first week in December! We have a lot of fun learning to look forward to this week!
Literacy…
We are finishing Unit 4! Our essential question is “How can people help to make your community better?” We are reviewing letters Ii, Nn, Cc, Oo, Dd. We are reviewing to, and, go, you, & do. Our vocabulary words are: community, improve, confused, harvest, & quarrel. Our category words this week are position words. Our grammar skill for the week is adjectives (describing words).
Math…
This week we will be continuing in Unit 3. We will be focusing on number partners. We will be working on groups of ten, partners through 6, and addition/subtraction stories. Your child will be bringing home their homework folder on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Tuesday and Thursday are Family Letters. Friday is homework. Please have your student return their homework folder the next school day.
Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing 2nd Quarter writing! We are becoming writers and it is so exciting to see!
Integrated…
We are starting our Friendship Unit this week! We will learn all about friendship skills as well as good character traits. We can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Star of the Week…
We will resume Star of the Week on December 9th.
