Coming up this week! {4/29-5/3}

Welcome back for another week in Kindergarten! We have a lot of learning to look forward to this week!

Behavior Goals…
Our classroom and hallway behavior goal this week is “Giving our BEST effort.” Our lunchroom goal is “I will raise my hand for help.”

We are continuing Unit 10 this week! Our essential question is “In What Ways are Things Alike? How Are They Different?” We are learning long e: e_e, ee, e. We are learning the high-frequency words come & does. Our vocabulary words are: sort, similar, perfect, endless & experiment.  Our category words this week are opposites. Our grammar skill for the week is pronouns.

This week we will be continuing Unit 5. We will be working on story problems, equations, unknown partners, and teen numbers. There will be homework coming home on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week.

Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing Quarter 4 writing! We are continuing to work on writing Stories from our Lives. We are doing such a great job with conventions, organization, word choice, ideas, sentence fluency, and voice!

This week, we will be finishing our Plants unit. We are so excited to learn all about plants during Science.

Star of the Week…
We are excited to learn about Kendyl this week!

Don’t forget!
–Library day this week is Thursday.
–Tuesday is a PLC day . We dismiss at 1:33 PM.
–Friday is our Zoo Field Trip. We can’t wait!
