Coming up this week! {4/9-4/13}

Welcome back for another week in Kindergarten! We have a lot of learning to look forward to this week!

Behavior Goals…
Our classroom and hallway behavior goal this week is “clean up rules.” Our lunchroom goal is “I will talk to my shoulder partner.”

We are continuing Unit 9 this week! Our essential question is “What Do Good Citizens Do?” We are learning long i: i_e. We are learning the high-frequency words has & play. Our vocabulary words are: citizen, respect, tidy, necessary & hauled. Our category words this week are farm animals. Our grammar skill for the week is adjectives.

This week we will be continuing Unit 5. We will be working on number partners and tens in teen numbers. There will be homework coming home on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday this week.

Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing Quarter 4 writing! We will be learning about voice while adding details and adding thoughts and feelings. We are writing some great stories in 4th quarter!

This week, we are continuing our Math extension unit this week. Your child will be bringing home math games to play with you. These do not need to be returned to school.

Star of the Week…
We are excited to learn about Lucy this week!

Don’t forget!
–Library day this week is Wednesday!
