Coming up this week! {4/2-4/6}

Welcome back for another week in Kindergarten! We have a lot of learning to look forward to this week!

Behavior Goals…
Our classroom and hallway behavior goal this week is “hallway rules.” Our lunchroom goal is “I will eat before talking.”


We are starting Unit 9 this week! This unit is entitled “How Things Change!” Our essential question is “How Can You Help Out At Home?” We are learning long a: a_e. We are learning the high-frequency words help & too. Our vocabulary words are: chores, contribute, member, organize & accomplish. Our category words this week are household furniture. Our grammar skill for the week is adjectives.

This week we will be continuing Unit 5. We will be working on telling and solving math story problems, and #’s 1-20. There will be homework coming home on Wednesday this week.

Writer’s Workshop…
This week we are continuing Quarter 4 writing! We will be learning about voice while using punctuation, dialogue, and speech bubbles. We are writing some great stories in 4th quarter!

This week, we are going to finish up our Social Studies unit, Where We Live. We are also going to start our Math extension unit this week. Your child will be bringing home math games to play with you. These do not need to be returned to school.

Star of the Week…
We will resume Star of the Week the week of April 9th.

Don’t forget!
–Library days this week are Tuesday and Friday!
