February 1st – 5th is National School Counselor’s week. Take time to thank your school counselors and social workers for all they do!
This is a reminder that students are not to wear pajamas bottoms as pants or slippers as shoes to school. Should a student wear these items, they will have to call home to get replacement items and if that option is not available, they’ll have to spend the day in the recovery room.

Congratulations to the two Goodrich @ Dawes Science Bowl teams who finished in 4th place and 15th place at the State Science Bowl competition this weekend. Thanks to all of the Goodrich @ Dawes students who participated in the state competition and a special congrats to Team captain Jenny Haar who was awarded one of the State Science Bowls most outstanding students.

Today is an X Day.
Do you love food? Do you want have fun and exercise at the same time? Come today to the first ever “Boost Your Body” health club meeting from 4:15-5.15pm. Students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln want to help you learn fun facts about food, exercise, and good habits. There will be different activities and tasty, healthy snacks every week for everyone who wants to join. Registration for the health club can be completed with the CLC forms found in the main office. Come join the fun!

• Thunder
• Mustangs
• Cobras
• Eagles
• Jaguars
2. Don’t forget that tomorrow you can wear your own Goodrich at Dawes apparel that you have designed at home. You can use markers, puffy paint, paint or anything else to design your clothing. Just make sure it follows the Goodrich at Dawes dress code. If you wear clothing that says Goodrich at Dawes you will get to enter your name in a drawing for a prize that will be awarded at the end of the day.

I hope you enjoyed the motivational speaker yesterday for the kickoff of our School Celebration Week.
Here are some things to look forward to the rest of the week:
1. Tomorrow at lunch you will get to vote for the Goodrich and Dawes mascot.
2. On Thursday you can wear your own Goodrich at Dawes apparel that you have designed at home. You can use markers, puffy paint, paint or anything else to design your clothing. Just make sure it follows the Goodrich at Dawes dress code. If you wear clothing that says Goodrich at Dawes you will get to enter your name in a drawing for a prize that will be awarded at the end of the day.
Teachers – You can wear your Goodrich at Dawes T-shirts on Thursday or if you are really creative and want to make your own, you can do that too!
