Hard to believe, but the semester is coming to a close. It seems like only yesterday we were cranking things up, and just like that we’re at the end. To wrap up the semester, this week the kids will take their Unit 3 tests in both reading and math.
We’ll spend the first part of the week squeezing in the lessons for unit 3, week 5 in reading, which will lead us to testing on Thursday and Friday. We have a lot going on, so I think we’ll still practice the spelling skills for the week, but we will not take a test on Friday. Just a tad too much going on to fit everything in.
We will have reading homework, however. Last week again only 9 kids turned in their assignments, so thank you in advance for reminding your child he/she has reading homework due on Friday.
Math will follow a similar pattern this week. We’ll wrap up our lessons and do some review work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, then take the test on Thursday and Friday. I anticipate homework on these evenings.
Monday – Homework 3-19
Tuesday – Review 1
Wednesday – Review 2
Thursday and Friday – No Homework
The kids will wrap up their Presidential Profiles this week in writing. We’ll put the finishing touches on them early in the week, and hopefully get some time to share at the end of the week.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!
