Rotary District 5650 is currently seeking and accepting nominations for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA). RYLA camp (April 5-7, 2019), an intensive 3-day training program for High School Sophomores and Juniors that helps participants think critically about important issues and share ideas with talented peers, learn how to coordinate and lead community service projects, discuss the importance of good governance and civil society to the world, and finally, learn to think globally and explore issues that transcend national and cultural boundaries. The U.S. State Department funded Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) is for motivated high school students who want to fully immerse themselves in German culture by living with a host family and attending a local German high school. No previous language experience is required. To be considered for the 2019-20 program, applications must be completed and submitted by December 11, 2018.
