Writing will take place each day in Writer’s Workshop. Students will have mini lessons to learn strategies for writing. We will also incorporate English and Grammar into mini lessons. Then, students will have a chance to write each day while using these skills in their writing. Each quarter we will have a different focus for writing.
Quarter 1 – Launching the Writer’s Workshop, Text Dependent Analysis,, Paragraph Writing
Quarter 2 – Research, Book Review
Quarter 3 – Poetry, Fiction
Quarter 4 – Complete Fiction, Persuasive Essay
We will incorporate technology into our writing. Students will learn to use Google Docs, Google Classroom, Noodle Tools and other programs Lincoln Public Schools has to offer.
