Happy December!

It’s hard to believe the first semester is coming to a close!  Keep working hard students, and finish the semester strong!

Literature groups meet December 4.  Your book needs to be completed at that time.  On December 17 students will need to hand in their personal reading chart.  To receive full credit students need to record each book they have read this quarter and have the sheet signed by a parent.  All literature books read during the second quarter should be recorded along with personal reading books.

On Friday, December 5, we will take the unit 3, week 4, tests.  Week 5 tests will be December 12.  During the week of the 15 to the 19, we will complete the unit 3 testing.  We will write meaningful sentences with the unit 3 vocabulary words on December 16.  The two day unit tests will be December 17 and 18.

Research with Mrs. Hellwege started December 1, and will continue through December.   Students are doing research on man made wonders of the world.  Research papers should be completed by December 19.  In January, students will present their research to the class along with a visual on their topic.  The visual can be a model, a power point presentation, a poster, etc.

Hope all you have a wonderful holiday season!
