We just finished the unit 2 testing, so we are on track to complete unit 3 before Winter Break. During the month of November our weekly testing will be on Tuesday and literature groups will meet on Thursday. Students should be able to discuss pages 1 – 100 on November 13, and 1-150 on November 20. Since the students are reading different books, the page numbers are not exact, but students should complete the chapter that is close to this page number. In December, the weekly testing will occur on Friday.
Students are working on writing a realistic fiction. Rough drafts are due on November 18 and final copies are due November 25. After Thanksgiving, students will begin their research papers. We will be doing research on man-made wonders of the world.
