This will be the first year of the McGraw- Hill Language Arts Curriculum.
Each week we have an Essential Question that goes with that weeks theme. We will read three stories each week during whole group and two stories during our guided reading groups.
We will have phonics, grammar and vocabulary lessons to go along with each week.
On Fridays we will take weekly comprehension assessments. The children will read a two page story and have 10 multiple choice questions and one short answer (constructed response) question. We will also take a Vocabulary Assessment on the 8 vocabulary words for the week.
