This week we began discussing the features of clothes. We talked about the various sizes of clothing, how we can find out what size something is, the features of our shoes, and things that hold clothes together. Officer Chassidy came to visit to show us the different parts of her uniform and talk to us about how she helps to keep us safe.
During small groups, students played a clothing memory game, worked on graphing different features of their clothing, and practiced sequencing by size using various sizes of clothing.
Our social emotional lessons focused on how to be a caring and helpful friend and accidents. We discussed how some things are done accidentally (spilling milk, bumping into a friend, knocking over a tower) and how a friend can help if they have an accident (clean up the spill, apologize to a friend, help build the tower again).
