Modern U.S. Military History is a class designed for seniors that have completed World and U.S. History. We will examine every military conflict the United States has been involved in beginning with WWI and ending with the role the U.S. Military has shifted towards in the 21st Century.
From WWI to Afghanistan the United States Armed Forces have been to every corner of the globe, in all elements of climate and terrain. We will examine the solder, the airman, and the marine. We will study the land, sea and air campaigns. We will observe the perspective roles of aggressor, and victim, captors and the captured and we will look at the terrible price of war.
