Clinton Elementary and Hartley Elementary have partnered with CEDARS to form the Clinton and Hartley Community Learning Centers (CLC). Our two sites offer many services to support the Lincoln CLC goals of improving student learning and youth development, strengthening and supporting families, and strengthening and engaging neighborhoods. Among the services provided are before and after school care for students, after school enrichment clubs, family nights, and neighborhood advancement activities.
We are excited to offer an extension of the school day to our wonderful students at Clinton Elementary School and Hartley Elementary School through our Community Learning Centers. Both sites offer structured before and after school programs complete with school-based curriculum and organized lessons, as well as planned recreation time to ensure the holistic development of the students in our care. During our after school program hours, we also offer clubs that cater to the enrichment of the various academic needs (math, reading, etc.) and interests (i.e., Cub Scouts, Art) of our students. Each quarter we host family nights to offer a chance to connect through food, entertainment, and family enrichment activities. We also work closely with community partners to plan neighborhood events that focus on the needs of our population.
The CLCs at Clinton and Hartley, in conjunction with the initiative of the Lincoln Community Learning Centers, have proven to be vital in linking our schools and families to our community. If you would like to learn more about our services, do not hesitate to contact:
