I grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska. I have one sister and two brothers. My parents still live in Norfolk and we enjoy returning to visit the small town life. I then attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
My husband, Joe, is a financial planner. We have two children, Lucas, 18, and Sophie, 17. They keep us busy attending their various sports and activities. We also have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Cooper.
I have spent my entire teaching career at Calvert. I started out as a Resource Teacher. I have also taught third grade and fourth grade. I believe I’ve worked at one time or another with all grades except kindergarten. However, the bulk of my teaching has been in second grade.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, making scrapbooks, and reading. I also enjoy taking my dog, or rather my dog taking me, for walks.
