I will be conferencing on March 6 and March 7 (Mon. & Tues.). I will send home confirmation notes home this week. Those of you not scheduled can sign up in the office starting February 13.

Don’t forget, conferences next week Sept. 8 and 10. Please contact me if you still need to schedule a time to meet. Reminder notes will go home Wed., Sept 2. I look forward to meeting with you.

Hope to see many of you at Curriculum Night on Tues., Sept. 3.  We will meet in classroom 107.  Two sessions will be held-5:30 – 5:55 and 6:15-6:40.  Calvert staff will be introduced in the multipurpose room  from 6:00-6:10.  If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for a conference, a sign up will be available.  Conferences are scheduled for Sept. 26 and Oct. 1.  Come learn about what second grade is all about including our brand new reading curriculum.

March 2nd was the great Dr. Seuss’s birthday.  Students are encouraged to bring Dr. Seuss books from home to share this week.  Please write your child’s name on the inside front cover if you can send books to share this week.  Also, check out the Seussville website under the helpful links section in the language arts category.

Conference sign up letters were sent home today (1-17).  Please send back ASAP as times fill up quickly.  If your child sees Mrs. Kraft, your time has already been scheduled and a reminder note will be sent home soon.

Also, please remember to send warm coats.  Many kids were wearing only sweatshirts on Monday with am temp of 5 degrees.  We do go outdoors if it is at least 10 degrees.

Look for Valentine letter to come home soon.

Our first book order is by Oct. 17.

Now that fall is in full swing, please remember to send a jacket with your child.  Our first recess is at 9:45, so even if forecast is for warm afternoon, it’s still quite chilly in the morning!!
