2014-15 S.M.A.R.T. Goals

Literacy

All K-1 students will improve their reading fluency skills.

All 2-5 students will improve their reading comprehension skills.

 Math

K-5 students will improve their number sense skills.

Kindergarten

Reading: 100% of the students will pass a level 4 DRA by April, 2015.

Math: 100% of students will have a 3 or 4 in the area of number sense by April, 2015.

First Grade

Reading: 90% or more of students will pass a DRA level 20 or higher by the end of the year.

Math: 100% of students will receive a 3 or 4 in the area of number sense on the district report card.

Second Grade

Reading: 100% of students will receive a 3 or 4 in comprehension, as assessed in the unit assessments.

Math: 100% of students will earn a 3 or 4 within the data analysis and probability strands on the 2nd grade math cards.

Third Grade

Reading: By May 2015, 90% of third grade students will score a “3” or “4” in reading comprehension as measured by the 4th quarter district report card.

Math:  By May 2015, 100% of third grade students will score a “3” or “4” in number sense as measured by the 4th quarter district report card.

Fourth Grade

Reading: 100% of Fourth Grade Students will read and comprehend at the proficient or beyond level as measured by the district reading assessment by May 2014.

Math: 100% of Fourth Grade Students will be able solve problems by meeting or exceeding district expectations as measured by averaging the results of the four DCA assessments given by May 2014.

Fifth Grade

Reading: 100% of 5th Graders will score proficiently (80%) or higher in reading skills and strategies as measured by weekly tests administered on day five.

Math: By the end of the school year, 100% of all the 5th Grade students will meet or exceed the level of proficiency (3 or 4 on the report card) in numeration and number sense.
