The D’Lux Singers is a semester class for 8th grade students. We will work on correct vocal and performance techniques. Class participation is essential to the group because we count on EVERYONE to learn their part and do the right thing at the right time. Along with learning music to perform, we will spend time review theory skills; knowledge of musical symbols, reading notes, ear training to match pitch and sing harmony, rhythm reading, following a voice part, etc.
I am very excited to have been able to work out a way to include the Band and Orchestra students that also want to sing! Mr. Whitman and Mr. Holloman have been flexible to allow 13 students come and join us on a rotating schedule. They will perform with us in our concerts!!! It really does add to the group and make us sound even better!!
