Students are required to put together a performance to show a talent of theirs and what they have learned in music class throughout this semester.
Expectations:
- It must to be FUN!
- It must to be CREATIVE!
- It must to show off a TALENT of yours!
- It must to be connected to MUSIC!
Performance Days:
X classes: Mon. Dec. 16 and Wed. Dec. 18
Y classes: Tues. Dec. 17 and Thurs. Dec. 19
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- It can be done with one other person in music classes right now.
- It should be no longer than 3 minutes in length.
- If it cannot be performed LIVE, it should be a video/movie put on a flash drive or shared with the teacher in some way online—to be shown in class.
IDEAS:
- If you take private lessons on an instrument or voice, you can work with your teacher to prepare one of your pieces you are working on already.
- A dancer could video a performance in their studio after class.
- A sport skill can be demonstrated on a video and add appropriate music to it.
- A writer may read an original poem – with background music.
- An art piece that reflects music in some way. Examples are on the bulletin board.
- Research a past or present musical artist and present photos and information on a poster.
- A video may be made of a scripted skit, accompanied by music.
- A video of you performing with Wii Music or Just Dance.
