February 25-27, 2019 Monday – Wednesday

Español 2

Wednesday – Practice with vocabulary with partner. Using vocabulary and a map – labeling and then finding a location using “directions” in Spanish with a partner. Act 2 textbook p. 224. Games to practice vocabulary and another to practice preterit verbs. Speaking activity to practice preterit verbs. Preterit verb activity and quizlet vocabulary posted to Classroom. Quiz 4.2 tomorrow.

Tuesday – Collected Worksheets from Friday  (vocabulary and car, gar, zar and i to y verbs). Practice with vocabulary. Practice with verbs online links from Maestra’s wordpress site.

Monday – Review of all preterit verbs through 4.2   -car, -gar, -zar verbs. i to y spelling change verbs (all spelling changes are due to pronunciation) and the rest of the stem verbs venir, querer, hacer – istem verbs  decir, traer, conducir – jstem verbs (not being tested over conducir at this time). Listening and comprehension with Telehistoria 1. Hands on practice with white boards – preterit verbs and vocabulary.

Wednesday – Vocab practice. Warm-up – everyone shared an answer. Review subjunctive notes from yesterday and checked worksheet answers. Notes on irregular present subjunctive. Filled in back of vocab sheet with spelling on present subjunctive verbs. Worksheet to practice irregulares and spelling differences. Due tomorrow. Quizlet for vocab practice posted on classroom.

Tuesday – Speaking practice using Act 5 and vocabulary. pts. Beginning notes on the Present Subjunctive. Notes p. 183 resource. Act 6 p. 184 to practice conjugations. Worksheet practice on classroom.

Monday – Practice with vocabulary and images. Act. 1 p. 180 using vocabulary in context and reviewed impersonal expressions. Act. 2 Review of formal Ustedes commands. Reading in context – Context 1 p. 181 and comprehension and use of vocabulary Act 4 p. 182.

February 19-22, 2019 Tuesday – Friday

Español 2

Work with vocabulary and preterit verbs. Read about Mexico culture pp. 194-195, 221-222. Read vocabulary in context pp 223-224 and completed text activities to practice as well as listening practice in context with video clip. Paused and discussed sentence structures and comprehension questions. Friday – worksheet in class for a grade (homework if not completed – collected on Tuesday, Feb 26th. Short video about the ancient civilizations of Mexico.

Completed 3.1 Presentations. New vocabulary sheet for 3.2. Filled in with textbook. Practice with vocabulary in context pages 176-179. Worksheet practice with vocabulary and impersonal expressions on Friday – collected for a grade.
