Español 2

  1. Warm-up questions – reviewing the preterite and imperfect tenses. Give a reason when you use each. What are the irregulars in the imperfect, how to you conjugate them and how do you conjugate those same verbs in the preterite. Answering questions using the preterite about yesterday and the imperfect when were 6 years old
  2. Speaking activity, using paragraph and poster with partner.
  3. Notes – review uses of preterite and imperfect…making sure students have them written down correctly. Discussed examples of each and using them together in sentences and why.
  4. Cues words that may be used for the preterite and the imperfect. Verbs that have different meanings in the preterite and imperfect. Wrote all these things down.
  5. Practice – un torneo de basquetbal. On classroom, started in class, writing the answers down on piece of paper. Complete for homework for tomorrow.
  6. Writing Story Assessment – next Wednesday in class (planning day on Tuesday- all materials stay in class)

  1. Warm-up – using subjunctive and verbs of esperanza. Making wishes.
  2. Culture p 219 Roberto Clemente – questions (there will be culture on the Test on Friday.)
  3. Reviewed culture pp 208-209 (el Caribe), 219 and 224 (Juan Luis Guerra).
  4. Test on Friday.
