Español 2

1. New seats and partners. New warm-up. List of things in English that you would need if you were to go on a trip to another country. Discussed travel and some things to think about/be aware of with travel in an airport to a different country.
2. Speaking activity with new partner for speaking point. Reminded students of all the different ways they can earn speaking points. Points will be entered this Friday for the past 2 weeks.
3. Video prologue for the Text and intro to Vocabulary with video clip. Students started filling out vocabulary sheets and are to finish by tomorrow using their textbooks at home (p55)
4. Quiz 9/28, Test 10/6-7.

2. Notes – preterite -ar, -er/-ir , -car, -gar, -zar verbs, ser/ir, dar/ver. p. 37 text.
3. Speaking activity using the preterite with new partner (for speaking points).
4. Quiz on Friday – Preterite verbs – first column pink sheet and all irregular yo form, preterite from the pink sheet (-car,-gar, -zar verbs).
5. Assignment for Wednesday – make flashcards of those pink sheet verbs (first column pink sheet and all irregular yo form, preterite from the pink sheet) Side 1 will have the meaning of the verb in English. Side 2 will have the 5 conjugated forms of the verb. Example -Side 1= to open Side 2 – column one singular forms, abrí, abriste, abrió  Column 2 plural forms abrimos, x , abrieron. Repeat for all 34 verbs, each on one card. Cards were available for students to use and 5 minutes was given to begin work.
