Spanish 2

  1. Warm-up – translating sentences using preterite or imperfect tense and 4.1 vocab. Homework credit given for completion and answers discussed.
  2. Notes – sequencing a story (students will be writing their own stories next week as an assessment.)
  3. Story – Capercita roja – choosing the correct verb (preterite or imperfect – use yellow note sheet to help), questions about the story (comprehension), deciding where the sections of the story fall in the sequencing pattern from today’s notes.
  4. Popo e Ixta Legend – short video clip then worksheet with partner – identifying the verb as preterite or imperfect and why that tense was used.
  5. Homework for tomorrow – preterite or imperfect conjugation and why? Completed the first 3 in class together as a model.
  6. Short – preterite/imperfect endings quiz tomorrow.

Spanish 3

  1. Warm-up questions using subjunctive and vocab. Homework credit given for completion. Discussed present subjunctive and present indicative spelling of some verbs this unit.
  2. Act 13 and Act 14 p. 223. (Act 14 was homework – used if for the speaking activity.)
  3. Practice with vocab and partner – Quiz tomorrow.
  4. Practice with white boards – questions and translating – Quiz tomorrow;)
