Spanish 2

Tuesday – Warm-up questions over yesterday’s notes, also preterite and imperfect questions. First 2 paragraphs checked and discussed (from yesterday). Setting the scene for a story. Snoopy slide. Accidente en Cartegena – preguntas and discussion of scene. Video clip – goldilocks. Homework for tomorrow- finish Goldilocks paper – changing the verbs to the “other” past tense, this time, indicate what tense you wrote.

Monday- Warm-up – review of weather – describing weather  with the imperfect tense. Describing people with the imperfect. Notes – imperfect tense and setting the scene for a story. DUWIT notes, review of verb endings preterite and imperfect. Worksheet in class – 2 paragraphs – identifying the 2 past tenses and changing the verbs to the correct past tense. Homework – study notes.

Spanish 3

Tuesday – Warm-up – job offer, characteristics, subjunctive. p. 222 – Add verbs of influence to vocab sheet and discuss meanings. p. 224 – comparacion cultural – Jose Luis Guerra and questions. Columns and listening activity. Will continue tomorrow.

Monday – warm-up  – review of Contexto 1p. 215. Act 8 p. 218 – speaking. Contexto 2 – and Act 10 – check verbs in subjunctive and answer comprehension questions. White board practice with vocab and subjunctive, translating, etc.
