Spanish 1

1. Warm-up – review questions using current new vocab and semester 1. Students are to use their vocab sheets, notes and texts to help them complete this daily activity.

2. Vocab pronunciation practice, as a class and with partner.

3. Practice with possession – There is no apostrophe s in Spanish! Act 2 page 166 – students wrote out and we also discussed using photos from “Modern Family Tree”. Discussed Vocab A worksheet from Friday and what errors were most frequent.

4. Escena 1 p. 167 – watched short video clip twice, then asked comprehension questions of students (p. 168)

5. Review of tener from first semester and using it for asking and saying ages. Speaking practice with partner Act 4 p. 168 (refer to p 164 for family relation vocab to use with this activity).

6. At home – Write the numbers in Spanish on back of vocab sheet – 0-101. Refer to pages 16 and 87 in the text. Quiz on Thursday the 16th and Test next Friday the 24th.

Spanish 2

1. Warm-up – review questions using current new vocab and semester 1. Students are to use their vocab sheets, notes and texts to help them complete this daily activity.

2. Vocab pronunciation practice, as a class and with partner.

3. Speaking questions on screen – partner activity and Maestra roamed and asked questions for speaking points. Partner written activity using descriptive and “fit”  vocabulary.

4. Escena 1 videoclip. p147 and then comprehension “hands-on activity.

5. At home – study vocab. Quiz on Friday the 17th and Test on the 24th.
