Summative Assessment – writing an original fully developed story using the preterite and imperfect verb tenses.

Tuesday/ Wednesday

Oportunities to review how to use the preterite and imperfect verb tenses in a story. Watched a video about Oaxaca and wrote down the verb tenses, Practiced with questions and animated video clip. Legend from the book review of verbs and reasoning behind the use of each with a partner. Discussed story basics, beginning, middle and end, character development, setting the scene, action, etc. Lab practice with vocab and verbs. Test next class time. Students need to think about their story ahead of time, but no notes can be used except for the yellow note sheet from class. Only notes about the verbs can be on this sheet, no planning for the story, a new sheet will be given if necessary.

Thursday

Warm-up with new sports vocab. Checked homework and additional classwork was written on this worksheet and it was collected for credit. Page. 304 – Act. 1 – speaking. REviewed numbers and wrote and then spoke Act. 2. Telehistoria escena 1 Act. 3 discussion questions p. 306 Act. 3 – written and collected. Act. 4 speaking activity. Worksheet – Did you get it? Sports vocab – completed in class for credit and answers corrected. Short DVD about cognates on signs in Spanish speaking countries.

Tuesday

1. Goldilocks and the 3 bears – conjugated verbs, read story, worksheet put scenes in order and answered comprehension questions.

2. p. 298 – Culture for unit 6. p. 300 setting the scene and vocab introduction – DVD clip and listened to CD and followed along with pp. 303-302. Comprehension listening practice. Pronounced new vocab.

3. Homework – ½ worksheet – Vocabulario A talking about sports
