Spanish 2

1. Warm- up review – agreement with nouns and adjectives. Practice answering 2 questions. Remember there is a Quiz tomorrow.

2. Web Quest – instructions below. On 1/2 sheet of paper, students wrote their name, this website address and we went to the GP lab to do the following webquest. On the 1/2 sheet they wrote the answers to number 1 and number 3a,b,and c. and handed it in to me. They also emailed their results from #2 to me.

1. In which language are your assignments posted?
The links on page 1  has many links that will help you practice your Spanish skills and provide you with cultural information. Visit the following links and answer the questions.

2. One of your most valuable resources is the Classzone.com website. Click on the link.
a. Start with the “@hometutor.” Enter your name and choose a level. (Try B the first time).
Click on “Lección Preliminar-Vocabulary-Práctica. Write in your answers and
then press the  Answer button. Answers that aren’t spelled correctly or don’t have correct accents will be counted incorrect. There are accent keys at the bottom of the activity. Use them!
b. Click on the “Gramática” section. Choose any two of Prácticas 1-4. Check your answers after
each activity. (You can try each activity more than once.)
c. When you have finished at least 3 activities (from “a” and “b” above), click on the
“Session Report” button and then the “Click Here to email this summary” button.
Put in my email address (bmullen@lps.org) and then just make up an email address
for the student email. Send the report to me by clicking the “Submit” button.

3.  a. Go back to the links on page 1 of  my website. Click on the “StudySpanish.com” link. Click on “Pronunciation – Spanish vowels.” How long does it take Spanish-speaking children to master spelling and why is this so?
b. Study Spanish – Grammar – Unit 1 – Adjectives 1.  Take the free basic quiz, show me your score when you have 100%.
c. Study Spanish – Verb Drills – Present Tense – (#4) Regular verbs. You can “Click to generate unique quiz” or review how to  conjugate present tense verbs and then create a quiz. You don’t need to include the vosotros form, but can if you have studied it before. Show me your score when you have 100%.

Hand in your paper to me with answers to 1 and 3.Did you email me your results for number 2?

So… at this website you can see the homework assignment for the day you were absent,  and practice, practice, practice your Spanish! Take advantage of this important resource!!!

 

Spanish 1

1. Opening activity – reviewing phrases.

2. Bingo – practicing vocab and phrases.

3. ABC’s – handout with phonetic punctuation. Students did a number of listening and speaking activities with the Spanish alphabet.

Homework – spell their first and last name in Spanish to an adult and have them sign the alphabet sheet.
