Spanish 2

1.     Sponge (review) – Simple greeting conversation.

2.     Book work  pp. 4-5. 2 Handouts – ½ sheet about agreement, Fullsheet with vocab, verb charts.

3.     Def. and indef. Articles – practice Act 3 p. 4,  Speaking Act. 4. Page 5 – ser = to be. Students added ser conjugations to vocab sheet and some vocab notes and 2 of the Important Questions for the Preliminary Lesson.

4.     Wrap up- para y piensa – collected.

 

Spanish 1

1.     Sponge – students wrote date at top of page in their notebook and wrote where in Lincoln they think they can practice or use Spanish as they learn. (school, friends, stores often have bilingual signage, TV shows and radio)

2.     Greetings and Good-byes (Saludos y despedidas) – discussed not everyone greets the same, it can vary due to your age, where you are from, what country you live in, etc. Listening practice.

3.     Written review – students wrote 4 basic phrases and completed the missing word. They also wrote the translation of what it means in English. Discussion of dialogue differences when you are talking to someone you know vs. someone you don’t (tú, usted). Speaking practice with short conversations. Practiced as a group and then with a partner (in Spanish!).
