Spanish 2

  1. Seating chart by last name.  Yellow Expectations Sheet passed out and discussed. Discussed procedures for passing out, sharing and returning Spanish 2 books to the cart.
  2. Tema de lección – mis amigos y yo. Review of vocabulary pp 0-3. Miami is the background for this preliminary lección. ¿Quiénes son? activity- Listening to native speakers conversation, practice conversation with partner, wrote answersto ¡A responder! Questions p. 3.

Upcoming – Quiz next week over materials that we are starting now. Test mid-Sept. and speaking assessment before each test of information that we practice in class throughout the lección.

 

Spanish 1

  1. Seating chart by last name.  Yellow Expectations Sheet passed out and discussed. Discussed procedures for passing out and returning Spanish 1 books to the shelves. They must be returned and be in order before class is dismissed.
  2. Tema de lección – ¡Hola! Viewed  pp 0-3. New York is the background for this preliminary lección. We discussed why and where the Spanish speaking population is from in various parts of the US. Hola,¿qué tal ? Activity p. 2-3. Listened to native speakers conversations and discussed what they were talking about.

Homework – Think about and look for places that you can practice the Spanish that you will learn in Lincoln.

Spanish 2

  1. Students filled out a basic information sheet with contact information and some information about what they like to do outside of school.
  2. Students were taught some procedures that will be used in the classroom for transtioning between activities, getting attention for futher instruction, passing out and collecting materials and these procedures were practiced.
  3. Students made name tents that will help everyone to get to know each other, and will be used for seating charts, passing back papers, etc.
  4. Get-to-know you activity in Spanish.

Homework- Bring a notebook, folder to organize handouts and something to write with tomorrow.
