Spanish 1
1. Students finished up Paso 1 Chapter 9. Vocab and listening practice, grammar culture review before Quiz 9.1 on Wednesday.
2. Started paso 2 of Ch 9 on Wednesday. Introduction of vocabulary, students should be memorizing all of it as usual. Discussed así phrases p. 274, nota gram p. 275.
3. Thursday Did listening activity 15 and speaking actiivities 19 and 20. Reviewed weather and seasons. Students were given suffcient time in class to write Act. 16 in complete sentences. This was collected for a grade. (students could come in after school to finish and for extra help Thursday).
4. Friday – review of agreement with worksheet. Speaking practice with current vocab. Notes on making comparisons and así phrases from text and nota gram. boxes. Worksheet to practice comparisons – for credit. Game to practice vocabulary. Vocab Quiz and Grammar quiz the beginning of next week.
Spanish 2
1. Monday – speaking practice with topics from entire year. Cutlrue reading and writing pages 248-253. Answered questions and summarized readings. Act. 6 p. 257 – all work collected for credit.
2. New vocab p. 281. Reviewed Act. 6, maps and directions. P. 258 phrases – memorize these. Practice.
3. Workbook Page 72 assigned Tuesday, p. 73 assigned Wed. Both due Thursday for credit. Act. Listening to directions. Speaking directions and following a map Act. 8. Notes on Formal commands – regular verbs and reflexives.
4. Thursday – practice with commands. Notes on irregular commands, reflexives, and spelling change commands. See page 260 in text. Di Act. 5 p. 74 in workbook and Act. 7 p. 75 workbook to practice. Also ½ worksheet to practice irregulars. Worksheet with map – writing directions – Did 1st together in class and students had 7 minutes in class to work with partner. Finish for homework. There is a lot of writing on this so it is worth more than normal and it’s very important to pracitce the vcocabulary and the command forms.
5. Friday – Worksheet collected to grade. Returned if incomplete/ to make corrections. Vocab practice. Practice with commands and direcitons. DVD and worksheet.
