1. Recall activity with vocabulary – collected. Listening activity also collected.
2. Discussion of new vocab p. 259 primer paso and extensive practice in class. Memorize this for a Vocab quiz on Thursday. 8.1 grammar,listening,writing and culture on Friday.
3. Pair work with asi phrases p. 235 and questions about what each eats for breakfast and lunch for speaking points/practice. Listening activity – collected.
Homework – memorize the first ½ of vocab tonight and the 2nd ½ tomorrow night.

1. Discussion of verb tenses and past vocabulary as a warm-up. Speaking with new partner about break using preterite tense, speaking practice/points opportunity.
2. Culture discussion based on page 220-221 of text, review culture of the islands.
3. Notes – estar and tener in the preterite. Vocab p. 247.
4. Partner work with Act 6 p. 225 and asi se dice on same page. Nota grammatical discussion and practice with overhead (Act.8) This will be used tomorrow at beginning of class.
