Due to the Testing this week students either have a block 2 period class on Wednesday or Friday this week with a normal schedule on Thursday. Due to this, the classes covered the same material but on different days. Following is what was covered for all 3 days.
Spanish 1
1. Day 1 – Warm-up review verbs and conjugations of vivir one day. Warm up Day 2- translating sentences using current adjectives – describing people.
2. Practice with speaking assessment questions about your best friend. Discussion.
3. Powerpoint review with hacer conjugations and short video clip reviewing describing family members and verb use.
4. Format of 6.2 Quiz and practice write. Partner read of panorama cultural p. 183 and discussion as a class.
5. Writing about my family. Students were to bring pictures of 5 different people in their family, (a couple friends are ok too). Students wrote 4-5 sentence paragraphs about 4 of the individuals in the photos. Collected.
6. Speaking assessment – individuals answered the questions asked by Maestra.
7. Quiz 6.2.
8. Short DVD reviewing family vocab.
Spanish 2
1. Warm up Day 1 – vocab p. 48 in workbook. Warm-up Day 2 – Writing sentences with vocab using the preterit.
2. Late work from Act. 14?
3. Format of 6.2 Quiz.
4. DVD pt 2 Chapter 6
4. Mi Viaje a _______ draft, checked for completion grade. Students then did peer editing activity.
5. Work time to put pictures on poster paper and verbs used on note card.
6. Presentations to class.
