Spanish 2

1. Warm-up – review of conjugated verbs and that there are 3 meanings(translations). Example: to eat– como = I eat, I am eating, I do eat , comes = you eat, you are eating, you do eat (do you eat? come = he eats, she is eating, you (formal) do eat , comemos = we eat, we are eating, we do eat ,comen = they eat, you all are eating, they do eat ( do they eat?)

2. Homework checked for completion (both verb chart and workbook pages – 15 minutes were given in class to complete). Answers discussed. Opportunity for speaking points.

3. Así se Dice p. 15 and listening activity 16-  practice.

4. Discussed Quiz 1.1. Put this in the summative category as we practice a lot in class and these are things that you need to know. Also, retakes are possible if 1. All homework was completed on time. 2. Student comes in after 8th period for extra help/practice with Maestra. 3. Student returns the next day after further study (also needs to be after 8th period) to retake assessment. Assessment may be different than 1st one, 2nd grade will replace 1st.

5. Irregular verbs – charts (fill in) also write meaning. Pages R 39-R41 in text will help.

6. Workbook p. 6.

Homework – Finish filling out irregular verb chart and complete p. 6 in the workbook.

Quiz 1.2 on Friday.

1. Warm-up – What are the Sagrada Familia and Costa Blanca? Students given time to finsihs summary of pages read in class yesterday. These were then collected.

2. p. 17 – Chapter objectives

3. p. 21 Así se dice Saying hello and good bye – memorize things in the green boxes – always!!

4. P. 21 Listening Act. 6  and  nota cultural – discussed.

5. P 22 Así se dice – Introducing people and responding

6. Phrases practiced with speaking partner, several times.

7. Workbooks passed out and time given in class to compete page 1.

Homework – Finish page 1 in the workbook and study new phrases from today.
