Spanish 2

1. Warm-up- Using the map of Spain at the front of the Text.

2. Andalusia DVD clip. Questions in Spanish on overhead- partner work. Ch. Opener DVD clip and comprehension questions about the clip.

3.Readings on p 6-7 is the same as the video clip. Questions p. 8 Act. 1-3. Discussed in class, Act. 3 -for speaking points.

4. Act. 4 written with partner. Recall of grammar, vocab. Speaking volunteers when shared answers.

5. Had students mark sections of reference section of textbook with stickee notes. R 3 Summary of Functions – Spanish 1, R11 – Vocab, R26-Grammarr summary, R32-Verbs, conjugations, etc, R36-stem-changing verbs, R42- ser/estar.

Homework- Review the sections that we marked with the stickee notes.

Spanish 1

1. Discuss of words students already know, where’d you learn them? Everyone has been somewhere, words are pronounced differently in different areas, no matter the lang., Lots of variety in the locales that we have been depending on when went, why went, etc.

2. p. 1 Text and pronunciation practice of country names. Updated statistics shared. Pair practice – pronunciation.

3. p. 3 read whole page and students did Act. 1 in groups and presented posters to the class.

Homework – Read pages 2 and 4 for tomorrow.
