Spanish 1

1. #26 in Notebook – Notes on Agreement from page 58 in the Textbook.

2. Practiced this with Act. 21 on the same page of the Textbook and Notebook. Read nota cultural p. 58 and a lo nuestro p. 59.

3. Worktime for ¿Qué hay en mi cuarto? – Due at the Beginning of class Thursday.

4. Quiz on Friday. Test 2 next Friday.

Instructions/ Grading for mini-project.
Draw what is in your room or pretend room using current and previously learned vocabulary. Needs to be drawn neatly, with color and labeled in Spanish.

On the back – write a paragraph of 5 good sentences describing your room. Use descriptive words, indefinate articles, colors, connecting words.

Hay , Tengo, También, y, unos/unas, un/una, muchas cosas, por fin, mucho/mucha, porque (because)

(In Spanish, the adjective like color, big, etc. goes after the noun that it modifies –
Example:  una mochilla amarilla, un lápiz azul, unos lápices azules

Grading Rubric: 7 points

1 – Drawn neatly and uses color.
1 – All items are labeled in Spanish.
1 – Paragraph of 5 sentences (each has a verb).
1- Verbs are correct.
1 – Current and previous vocabulary.
1 – Uses descriptive words, (colors, numbers,
etc)indefinite articles, connecting words.
1 – Turned in on time and meets above expectations.

Spanish 2

1. Speaking review of Segundo paso – verbs, vocab.
2. Vocab p. 61
3.Notebook #30 Writing activity practicing phrases from p. 41 in the text with weather vocabulary of tercer paso.
4. Write new vocab with pictures of seasons and weather. (also on #30) (If absent come in after school.)
5. Speaking practice with weather vocab, activities, months.
6. ¿Cómo es mi cuidad? Worksheet.

Homework – Cuidad misteriosos. Using the cómo es mi cuidad, as a model, on the back of the worksheet. Come up with descriptions of a secret city for others to guess. Put the name of the city at the bottom of the page. This will be collected at the beginning of class.

Chapter Test next Wednesday.
