Spanish 1

1.Yellow sheets collected. Checks/money taken from those who had it who want to purchase vs check out a workbook $13.

2. Name activities – name game pt-2 and
Name Chain –
Ex: ¿Cómo te llamas?  Me llamo Suzi. ¿Cómo te llamas?  Me llamo Jacob.

3. Discussed homework from yesterday. This is your first entry in your class notebook. Make sure it is labeled correctly. Remember that this notebook is to be used just for Spanish class and you are to bring it daily!

4. El alfabeto pp. 6-7
(The Spanish alfabet is a bit different than the English. What are the differences?)
Listening activity – Spanish alphabet.
Speaking practice – repeated the alphabet and the words from pp. 6-7 with the CD and also a website with phonetic cues. Were also shown this website.

5. Handout sheets that have pronunciation guide on them. Students glued into notebooks. (Entry #2 in notebook)

Homework – Practice alphabet pronunciation.

Spanish 2

1. Blue sheets collected. Checks/money taken from those who had it who want to purchase vs check out a workbook $13.

2. Name Game – pt 2

3. Read pp. 2-3 (culture) with a partner and then reviewed overhead questions from yesterday and added in information. Discussed as a class. (These questions are 1st entry in your Spanish notebook.)

4. Partner read pp. 6-7 (grammar review with foto novela).  Students wrote Act 3 and 4 with partner as a class activity, reviewing phrases, verbs, and adjectives.

Homework – Worksheet, p.1-2 from workbook.
