  1. warm-up – reviewing preterite verbs – what students did yesterday using previous food vocabulary. Discussed reading  questions and thinking about the final. Discussed several options for the final and how to answer.
  2. Vocabulary U 5 – pages 273 and 297. Bolded vocab (except otras frases necesarias and indefinite words) with grammar – ísima and formal commands – next Friday April 28th. Optional flashcards due Wednesday – only bolded words.
  3. Vocab with photos – discussed/filling in vocab list. “Additional” vocab will be very useful for U5 assessment – writing and performing a skit.

  1. Warm-up – discussion questions in Spanish – la misma luna. Continued.

  1. Warm-up – finishing te toca a ti wiht pretertie and iperfect verbs and describing a scene.
  2. More practice with un accidente en Cartegena story.
  3. Read student examples and discussed what grade, what were errors, what was good.
  4. Looked at rubric and planning sheet which students will use tomorrow.
  5. Come with ideas!

  1. UWEIRDO – warm-up.
  2. Speaking and writing activity for grade.
  3. Una novela misteriosa – took notes, started reading and discussig the first chapter.
  4. Quiz next week.

  2. Homework check and points given for completion. Discussed answers.
  3. Practice with weather in the imperfect.
  4. Fairy tale, listening and choosing correct verb for the story. Witness story – changing to preterite and imperfect.
  5. Think of characters and plot over weekend. Legend planning on Tuesday, write Wednesday.

  1. Warm-up – weather in the imperfect. Points given for homework completion.
  2. Homework discussed.
  3. Talked about legends requirements that students will be writing next week so they can think ahead and get a new, unique idea and characters.
  4. Shared examples of the beginning of stories and then students practiced using an image. Shared and discussed in class.
  5. Finished “Goldilocks”
  6. Popo y Ixta Legend – watched clip and students were given a worksheet. started in class together and then students had time to work – complete as homework for tomorrow.

  1. Warm-up – translating using extensivec vocab and subjunctive.
  2. Talked about test format. Test tomorrow.
  3. Listening activity and worksheet – comprehension and listening.

  3. Practice imperfect verb conjugations and descriptions with a game.
  4. Weather notes passed out. Practice describing weather scenes.
  5. Story video clip. Practice with the story and deciding preterit or imperfect verbs and why. Collected to finish tomorrow.
  6. Homework – practica with preterite and imperfect verbs in sentences and why. Practicing for story writing middle of next week – summative activity (not able to use books, dictionaries, etc. but will have a planning day previous)
