Español 2

  1. Adding some vocabulary and pronunciation – discussion of how it was used in the clip we watched on Friday and how can use in the skits.
  2. Groups assigned and students worked on skits which will be presented on Wednesday. Instructions and rubric are on classroom and students worked on script on google doc and shared with each other and then Maestra as well for work credit.
  3. Homework – work on script making sure that current vocabulary and phrases are used, practice and memorize, gather and bring props.

  1. Warm-up – questions using pretertie about weekend, this summer plans using future tense and goals being reached for this school year?
  2. Organized hand-outs from year. Practiced Lec Preliminar with partner.
  3. Subjunctive – hands on with cards activity and then discussion.
  4. Reading practice and discussion – 2 paragraphs of story and student jotted down reading notes. Will continue this week and then complete questions.
  5. Homework – study vocabulary and grammar for final.

  1. Warm-up questions about 2 video clips we watched this week using Unit 5 vocabulary.
  2. Translating Paella recipe from video, using vocab ingredients and formal commands.
  3. Notes – affirmative and negative words – p. 283 in text. Short reading and questions using the words in context about a restaurant.
  4. Input on groups for activity next week.
  5. Clip – restaurant scene using current vocabulary.
  6. Final info sheet with info about scantron final during finals week and possible/similar questions for the written final next Friday. Make sure you know how to answer these in year 2 answers using current vocabulary. (you will see some of them as warm-ups next week….but don’t wait for us to go over each of them!)
  7. Additional vocabulary and pronunciation.

Español 3

Students finished hero essays/letters. Printed and indicated which vocabulary and subjunctive sentences for grading purposes. Printed copy to read and give to hero. Can print at home and turn in the beginning of class on Monday.

  1. Warm-up – coloring activity with verbs for recognition….telling the difference between formal commands, infinitives and other conjugated verbs. Finish on own for practice.
  2. Practice with formal command Ud. and the steps to make Tortilla española with the addition of direct object pronouns – practice from what we did yesterday. (completed this with a partner and discussed as a class)
  3. Added vocab to vocab list through otras comidas.
  4. Watched clip of how to make Paella and wrote down steps and ingredients in English and will translate tomorrow in class.

Work time on “personal hero” essay/letter. One more class day to complete.

  3. Discuss of Commands wiht direct object pronouns, guided notes and practice.

  4. Talked about personal hero paper and watched video clip to help get ideas.
  5. Come prepared to write tomorrow.

  2. Discussing sentences and whether use subjunctive of not.

  5. Answering questions using all previous vocabulary and some subjunctive – (reviewing for final).

  1. review Chapter 6 of story. Continue reading and finished story. Students summarized and completed a short worksheet about Chapter 7 and an activity about the entire book with a partner. Collected summaries for credit.
  2. Start new warm-up – foods in Spanish!
  3. Speaking activity – questions about food.
  4. New vocab list….start filling in the foods that you know! (leave the grammar alone for now)
