We are rebuilding after the Civil War this time is called Reconstruction. This is a short little unit.

This unit covers From the French and Indian War up through The Revolutionary War. Once again the students have a packet called From Colonies to Country instead of putting all these notes and papers in a notebook. This has been a help with organization and the students have everything they need (in one place) to prepare for assessments.

Current Events
This year we have linked our current events with the skills (habits) we are trying to teach students throughout the year. Sourcing, multiple perspectives, contextualizing, and close reading. These are so important that we are taking class time to all do the same current event. Each unit we will select a current event that fits the topic we are studying in history. We will post the current event form and then the articles for each unit. Diff students will complete two each unit.

POP and stuff
8A is doing POP right now through Feb 8, our POP night.
