WordReference – A good online dictionary.

Reverso – Another good online dictionary.

Quia – This is a good site for practicing French grammar and vocabulary.  You will need a username and password, which I will give you the first time that we use this site.

Conjuguemos – This is another good site for practicing grammar and vocabulary.  When you arrive at the site, choose from the options in the left column, under “French”.  If you choose “French Vocab (book)”  you can find your textbook (Bien Dit 1 or 2), and you can choose the appropriate chapter.

7 jours sur la planète – A French TV website for learning the French language.  This is a fun site where you can choose a news story and complete activities at the difficulty level that you choose.

Audio Lingua – At this site, you can hear recordings of French people speaking about various topics.

symbaloo – This is a good way to organize your online bookmarks.

France-Amérique – A French newspaper for the United States

france.fr – The official website of France.  You can find all kinds of interesting information here, from tourism to education to today’s weather.

Brainpop – This is a kids’ site that has short videos about many different topics, from art to math.  You can watch the video as many times as you want, and then you can play games to see what you understand.  To see the script as you hear it, click on “ST”.

About.com French – This site is a really good reference tool for learning and practicing your French.  You will find good grammar explanations, as well as many other helpful items and links.

Wordle – Use Wordle to make word clouds out of a group of words.  We may use this for projects in class.

“Let it go” – This is a funny version of the song from the movie Frozen .  It illustrates what happens when you rely on Internet translators: the translation isn’t always what you meant!

Cybercartes – A site to make French e-cards.

Radio France Internationale – This is the site for a French news radio station.  In the very top left corner, click on “Apprendre le français” to find news stories with comprehension activities.
