Blue Shades

 Blue Shades is one of three concert choirs at East High School and meets 4th period each day. Open to any interested 10th-12th grade student, Blue Shades provides students the opportunity to continue building upon their vocal music skills and knowledge. Topics covered in Blues Shades include reinforcing healthy vocal technique, improving musical literacy through solfége sight-singing, building higher level musicianship skills, and singing music in a variety of genres- jazz, folk, classical and everything in between. Blue Shades performs at concerts throughout the academic year and are prepared for auditions for upperclassmen ensembles for the following year.
