Soaring to High Standards in Learning and Behavior
A number of Arnold students participated Oct.1 in the LPS Student Serve Program. Included today in this post are pictures of kids and parents in action.
LPStudentServe was a student-created, student-led day of volunteer service in the community on Oct. 1. This initiative was a city-wide, student service day on Saturday, October 1, 2011. On this day students from every LPS school united to serve the city of Lincoln. High school students served businesses and organizations in the community at-large, while middle and elementary school students worked on school grounds. It was unprecedented in any K-12 school system in the United States.
Arnold Elementary participated in the LPS StudentServe from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 1. Arnold students cleaned up the schoolgrounds, planted tulips, and cleaned around Bowling Lake.
Our goal was to have a minimum of 50 people help serve and WE MADE OUR GOAL! We want to thank the students and their families that made the Arnold Student Serve a success!
