Hello! Welcome to our classroom website. I plan to use this page to share information about happenings in our class, as well as provide useful resources and links for students and parents.

I am so excited to be starting my fifth year at Beattie Elementary! It is such a positive and supportive community of staff and families. I came into the teaching profession through a bit of an untraditional route. My undergraduate degree was in business administration at Nebraska Wesleyan University. After working for Wesleyan assisting high school students as they transitioned into college, I served as a volunteer substitute preschool teacher. At that point, I rediscovered a love for teaching and learning! Next, I worked as a special education para-educator for three years and knew that the elementary school setting was where I belonged. So, I returned to school and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Teaching from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Personally, my husband Brian and I enjoy following the activities of our children, Shelby (junior) and Toby (8th grade).

Please know I welcome communication from families, and do hope that you will come to me at any point with questions, concerns and comments. You can reach me by email at: alammer@lps.org, or phone at 402-436-1123.

Thanks for visiting and stop back soon!
