Miss Consbruck’s KidPix Pictures

Has your child come home and told you about creating art in Computer Science?  We have been working hard on learning some of the tools in the application KidPix.  This week, I gave students the opportunity to have a picture taken of their creation.  Here is the results!

Kindergarten students used the drawing tools, paint bucket, stamps, and eraser on their projects!  I think they turned out really well!

Enjoy!

Mrs. Fankhauser’s KidPix Pictures

The students in Mrs. Fankhauser’s class have been working hard to show off their knowledge of tools in KidPix!  Below are just a SMALL representation of the work they’ve been doing with the drawing tools, stamps, and paint bucket!

We look forward to learning even more tools in KidPix and starting some other programs during our next Computer Science class!

Not all creations are shown on this page.  Students were given the opportunity to have a picture of their work taken, it was not a requirement.

Projects for the Week of August 20th

The first week of school included going over many of our classroom expectations in Computer Science!  Every student did have time to get on the computers, but not much with our shortened schedule and large amount of routines to go over.

This upcoming week, I’m excited to start in on some content with students.  Here are a few examples…

First grade will be making a Name Stamping Activity in KidPix.

Second Grade will be making “Wanted Posters!” using Comic Life and Photo Booth.

Third Grade will be making some “Word Art” Poetry Pages in Google Drawing.

I’m excited to see how it goes!!!

Check back again soon!

2018-2019

Hello Brownell Families!

We are three days into the new school year and I couldn’t be more excited!  This year, I have moved to Computer Science and Intervention.  It has already been a wild adventure, but SO MUCH FUN!

I have had 9 of the 15 Computer Science classes so far this week, and I look forward to having the other 6 over the next two days!  EVERY class this week has had at least a few minutes to get into a program called “KidsMouse,” which has allowed students to do a variety of tasks.  Kindergarten students have been practicing painting pictures on the computer, by clicking on various colors and pictures.  First grade students have had a choice in painting, practicing alphabet/number skills, matching, and more!  And my second graders were asked to draw a picture of something from their summer.

Please check back here, or my LMS pages (Login from the https://www.lps.org/parents/ page!)  for continual information throughout the year.  Feel free to email me any time as well!

If your child is in one of my intervention groups, then I will be sending you my contact information soon as well!

I look forward to working with ALL the AMAZING Brownell families this year!

Thank you!
