Mrs. Brinkmeyer

Born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska, I graduated from Grand Island Senior High May of 1997. I then continued on to Fremont, Nebraska where I attended Midland Lutheran College, graduating in May 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education.

During the summer of my Freshman and Sophomore year of college, I took a camp counselor job in Storm Lake, Iowa, but took a week off to attend a workcamp in Pemberton Township, New Jersey. A boy by the name of Justin Brinkmeyer from Charleston, Illinois swept me off my feet and I returned to Fremont to finish up my last 3 years of college, with hesitation knowing that I really liked the kid! So, after graduating with my degree, I took a huge leap and interviewed with the Schaumburg School District, a northwest suburb of Illinois. I accepted a job offer and moved to start my first year of teaching at Aldrin Elementary August of 2001. I continued to teach 1st grade for 5 years, then looped with my class to teach 2nd with the same group of kids.

Justin and I married July of 2005 and had our first child, Kayin Marie, April of 2007. It was then that I knew I wanted to be closer to family. So, in July of 2007, I interviewed for a job with LPS and landed the job at Prescott.

I began my career here at Prescott as a First Grade teacher, but three years in, felt the urge to move grade levels and August of 2010, began teaching Kindergarten and have been here since!

We had our second child, Kendyn Lou-Douglas, February of 2011. And what a ride we have been on!! He keeps us on our toes and is so different from his big sister!

Recently, we moved and purchased our first home in the Prescott Community and have felt so welcomed into the Near South Neighborhood!

In my spare time (when I am not thinking about school), I enjoy spending time with my family, swinging and reading on our porch swing, and cooking!

Mrs. Frank

I began teaching at Prescott in 2009. Before teaching at Prescott I taught early childhood and elementary in Mexico. I come from a family of educators. My mother recently retired from teaching elementary in LPS, my father is a law professor, and my sister teaches elementary in Minneapolis, MN.

While living in Mexico I met my husband, Luis.  We lived in Mexico until our daughter, Eliana, was born. Eliana is now six.  We also have a son, Elias.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors. I have a passion for travel and have been able to travel to Bangladesh, China, Mexico, Guatemala,  and England. I also enjoy speaking Spanish and learning about other cultures.

Miss Licht

Hello!  I am so thrilled to be a part of this community! I have the bumblebee room and we are all excited for learning. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Spring of 2011 with my degree in Education and Human Sciences. I was also honored to be a part of the Nebraska Volleyball team from 2007-2010. I got to travel overseas and I learned so much just from being with the program. I was named a 2nd team All American and I was so thrilled I was able to represent my school in such a way. I am originally from Aurora, Colorado and my family is still there. I like to visit my mom, my dad, and my brother as much as possible! My brother and I are 18 months apart so we are very close. I am a learner and I love being able to share my stories to help my students make connections with the world around them! I have recently completed the Primarily Math Program and am continuing my education by working towards completing my Masters! At Prescott, we are a community that is about teaching, learning, caring and helping our students become healthy, productive, responsible citizens. I am excited for the year to come and to watch my students grow and become their own person.
